The TSH122 is a single-channel CVBS (Composite Video Baseband Signaling) video buffer/filter with an internal gain of 6dB optimized for AC or DC-coupled applications where video signals are transmitted to 75Ω cables. The input pin of the new product can be directly connected to a video digital-to-analog converter to feed the composite video signal to an external display device, such as a television display. To meet low power requirements, the chip operates from a single operating supply from 2.2V to 5V (tested at 2.5V and 3.3V), making it ideal for battery-powered consumer products.

By integrating a 6th-order reconstruction filter to reduce the sampling amplitude of the digital-to-analog converter, the TSH122 helps save cost and board space, and the internal gain setting resistor further reduces the number of peripheral components and board area. At the same time, the SAG correction function is integrated in the output section, so a smaller coupling capacitor can be used. This high level of integration in a compact 2.2 x 2.4 mm SC70-6 (SOT323-6) package provides designers with more room to add new features and significantly reduces the size of the end product.

The main video performance of the TSH122 includes 0.5% differential gain, 0.5 degree differential phase, and 10 ns group delay. The 27MHz attenuation is usually better than the –36dB attenuation, and above 5.4MHz, the amplifier still achieves a smooth gain. The rail-to-rail output function maximizes the dynamic range of low-voltage amplification.
