Fujian completed tunnel LED lighting demonstration project

Recently, the LED lighting demonstration project of Quanzhou Nanhui Expressway tunnel, which was listed as the national demonstration project of 15 tunnels of LED lighting, was first completed. It is reported that application of LED lighting will reduce lighting costs by 35%. The research team of the National Semiconductor Lighting Product Application Demonstration Project, composed of the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Transport, fully affirmed the research results.

It is understood that all tunnel lighting on the Nanhui Expressway uses LED lighting, which is 35% more energy-efficient than conventional lighting. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the total length of single-hole highway tunnels in Fujian Province will exceed 1,200 kilometers, and the annual tunnel power cost will reach 250 million yuan. The promotion and application of LED lighting is expected to reduce lighting costs by more than 70 million yuan.

The research team spotted the LED lighting equipment of Nanhui Expressway Qianmeng, Pengshanling Tunnel and Quanzhou North Toll booth, and heard the implementation report of the LED lighting demonstration project of Nanhui Expressway Tunnel, and considered that the implementation of the demonstration project was a national tunnel in the future. The application and promotion of LED lighting provides reference experience and helps to further enhance the confidence in the application of tunnel LED lighting.
