Taiwan's LED industry's July revenue showed different images of chip rise and package decline.
The packaging companies' Yiguang and Ronda's July revenues all fell compared with June, with only Dongbei increasing by 0.67% and annual growth of up to 40%. The chip factory's crystal power benefited from the production cut, with July revenue increasing by 3.52% and annual increase of 3.33%.
In July, the revenue of Everlight reached 2.267 billion yuan (NTD, the same below), with a monthly decrease of 6.3% and an annual increase of 0.59%. The company said that the decline in July revenue was mainly due to the deferral of some orders to August, and this month will see performance gains. The US ITC ruled that Dongbei products must be banned from importing and removing shelves. In July, Jingdian's revenue was 2.18 billion yuan, a monthly increase of 3.52%, an annual increase of 3.33%; backlight, lighting and quaternary demand rebounded simultaneously. In the third quarter, due to the drop in the expense ratio and the picking of orders, the industry is expected to challenge the loss.
