How big is the Chinese mainland market for LED backlight TV? The gradual acceptance of the market is mainly based on the continuous improvement of the mainland packaging technology, and the gap with the Korean and Taiwanese manufacturers is gradually narrowing.

The opportunity is coming

In Zhang Jiaxian's view, the TV backlights newly shipped in the Chinese mainland market have basically adopted LEDs. CCFL will be completely eliminated at the end of this year or early next year. "We have been working hard in the field of backlight devices for many years, and the market share has become more and more. In addition to Konka, TCL, Skyworth, other TV manufacturers have also taken the initiative to find the door."

"Technically speaking, the LED backlight replaces the original CCFL is completely no problem." According to Yin Jinghuang, Jufei Optoelectronics has begun to supply large-size backlight devices or light bars to domestic mainstream LCD TV manufacturers such as Skyworth, Hisense and Changhong. Jufei Optoelectronics' 2012 financial report data shows that the company's medium-sized backlight LED and large-size backlight products achieved sales revenue of 51.242 million yuan, accounting for 10.35% of total operating revenue, which has become the company's new profit growth point.

The popularity of LED TVs and the gradual recognition of mainland TV manufacturers have given mainland backlight manufacturers a chance. Ruifeng Optoelectronics' share price has risen steadily since December last year. An important source of profit for Ruifeng Optoelectronics is the income from TV backlight business.
