After January 4th, Osterout Design Group (ODG) announced two mixed reality MR smart glasses in the United States CES. On January 12th, Mi Qi and ODG officially launched MIGU Glass, a Chinese version of the MR smart glasses in Shanghai.
At the just-concluded MIGU Glass conference in Shanghai, ODG announced that its latest MR glasses, MIGU Glass, will cooperate with MIDI (China Mobile's subsidiary) and build a joint brand to access the mainland market. The Chinese version of MIGU Glass will be launched in three versions, which will be a more youthful version than abroad.
In addition, according to a senior executive from MI, the company will serve as ODG's exclusive distributor in China and will be fully responsible for the development of the Chinese market.
The conference also announced that the corporate version of the MIGU Glass M1 Pro will be available in the second quarter of 2017. The individual version of the MIGU Glass M1 will be available in the third quarter of 2017, and the youth version of the MIGU Glass M2 will be postponed until 2018.
