After the news that Dell stopped selling Adamo ultra-thin laptops, Taiwanese laptop makers said they will continue to introduce ultra-thin laptops and analyze that Adamo failed because its price is too expensive.

Dell Adamo's ultra-thin notebook was once over 2,000 US dollars, but due to the limitations of the CULV processor platform and lack of optical drives, its market demand did not meet Dell's previous expectations. As a result, Dell began to clean up inventory and the price has been reduced to 799 US dollars.

Taiwanese manufacturers pointed out that Apple had encountered similar problems when it first launched the MacBook Air, but then Apple decisively lowered the price and successfully pulled its sales. Although many users like the slim design, price is still the most critical factor.

Acer, Asus and Lenovo also plan to release ultra-thin notebooks with 13.3-inch models, and all of their designs have been upgraded compared to the previous models. In order to compete with Apple MacBook Air, their product prices will be more close to the people.
