Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. has realized a vibration-resistant patch-type conductive polymer mixture suitable for a vehicle ECU (Electronic Control Unit) power supply circuit such as an HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle), an EV (Electric Vehicle), or a gasoline vehicle. The production of aluminum electrolytic capacitors began mass production in December 2017.

In response to the improvement of the fuel consumption rate and environmental restrictions of eco-cars, with the increase in the number of ECU installations and the development of mechatronics, the requirements for miniaturization and vibration countermeasures of ECUs are heating up. Therefore, the capacitor used for the purpose of stabilizing the voltage of the ECU power supply circuit and removing noise, etc., also requires miniaturization and high vibration resistance. Matsushita Electric Co., Ltd. realized the productization of the first conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a diameter of 6.3mm and a high vibration resistance of 30G.
