"We don't have double integral pressure."
"In the next three years and beyond, our new energy vehicles will of course be dominated by pure electric vehicles. If we don't believe this, why should we develop a pure electric platform (MEB)?"
On November 14, 2018, at the Volkswagen 2018 Guangzhou Auto Show preview event, Feng Sihan, CEO of Volkswagen brand China, expressed the above views to the editor.
Feng Sihan, CEO of Volkswagen Brand China
In addition, in 2019, 4 billion euros will be invested in China to deploy electric vehicles and intelligent connected vehicles; in the next two years, 30 new energy vehicles will be added in China, and a fast charging network will be built in China. New energy vehicles are 400,000 and 1.5 million respectively... Everything shows that Volkswagen is really turning to electric vehicles.
In other words, the masses have begun to revolutionize themselves.
Is there really no double integral pressure?
Volkswagen is a vested interest in China's fuel vehicle market.
According to data released by the China Automobile Association, in 2017, Volkswagen sold a total of 3.1352 million vehicles in mainland China, a year-on-year increase of 4.68%.
From January to October this year, SAIC-Volkswagen and FAW-Volkswagen ranked the top two in the passenger car sales list, both maintaining a growth rate of 2%. In the context of the sluggish auto market, this achievement is relatively insignificant. too bad.
Passenger car sales from January to October 2018
However, the better the sales of fuel vehicles, the more new energy vehicle points are required. According to the "Measures for the Parallel Management of Average Fuel Consumption and New Energy Vehicle Credits of Passenger Vehicle Enterprises", if the annual production or import volume reaches more than 30,000 vehicles, the new energy vehicle credit ratio requirements will be set from 2019, and the ratio in 2019 10%.
To be conservative, based on the annual sales volume of 3 million vehicles, in 2019, Volkswagen needs 300,000 new energy vehicle points. Assuming that each new energy vehicle is counted as 3 points, Volkswagen needs to sell 100,000 new energy vehicles to meet the standard. Otherwise, NEV credits must be purchased from other car companies.
At present, Volkswagen has only three new energy vehicles, namely the e-Golf launched in March 2018, the Passat plug-in hybrid version launched in October, and the Tiguan L plug-in hybrid version launched in November. Among them, the e-Golf is an imported car and cannot get government subsidies. It is unlikely that the Passat and Tiguan plug-in hybrid versions can support all the new energy vehicle points.
Asked if Volkswagen would feel pressured by the dual-point policy, Feng Sihan said no.
Indeed, the double integral doesn't seem to bother the masses too much. In 2019, the double-point policy will be officially implemented, but in 2018, it was designated as the year of SUV by Volkswagen. In 2020, Volkswagen's existing 6 SUV models in China will increase to 12, covering from compact SUVs to full-size SUVs.
Compared with the large fuel consumption and SUV giant Great Wall's rapid launch of electric vehicle plans, Volkswagen chose to offer a full range of SUV plans at this time, which is somewhat the opposite.
The introduction of double points is imminent, and there is no pressure on the public? Are you in no hurry? Believe it or not, I don't really believe it anyway. My main basis is that Volkswagen has significantly accelerated the pace of new energy vehicles in China.
In 2017, the electric vehicle strategy released by Volkswagen included that by 2025, it will launch more than 20 new models covering imported and domestic plug-in hybrid and pure electric models.
At the media communication meeting on November 15, 2018, Heizmann, President and CEO of Volkswagen Group (China), introduced that in the next two years, Volkswagen will add more than 30 new energy models in China, of which 50% of the models will be Localized production.
The time has been advanced from 2025 to 2020; the number of models has increased from 20 to 30 - there is reason to believe that the pace of electrification may be slowed down by the fuel vehicle business, or the electrification transformation in China may be due to the reluctance of Volkswagen to revolutionize itself already started. Volkswagen's statement is that it will "start a full-scale electric vehicle offensive."
Plug and play pioneer, pure voltage axis
Feng Sihan said that Volkswagen does not have the pressure of double points. On the one hand, it is because new energy vehicles have been launched in China, that is, the above-mentioned Tiguan L and Passat plug-in hybrid versions; on the other hand, from 2019, Volkswagen will have A number of new energy models were launched in China.
The first to launch a plug-in hybrid version, does it mean that the public pays more attention to plug-in hybrid rather than pure electric? no.
Feng Sihan told the editor that compared with pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles have obvious disadvantages in terms of subsidies and road rights, but because there are no defects such as mileage anxiety and inconvenient charging, they will occupy a large market in the future.
But he stressed that as far as Volkswagen's new energy vehicles are concerned, pure electric vehicles will remain the main product in the next three years and beyond. "If you don't even believe that, why develop a pure electric platform (MEB)?"
The MEB platform is a modular production platform specially built by Volkswagen for pure electric vehicles. By 2020, the first batch of pure electric vehicles based on the MEB platform will roll off the production line at the FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Plant and SAIC-Volkswagen Anting Plant. Feng Sihan introduced that in 2019, Volkswagen will launch three locally produced pure electric vehicles, the first model will be unveiled next spring.
400,000 in 2020 / 1.5 million in 2025
In October of this year, Volkswagen Group CEO Herbert Diess said in an interview with US media, "We have entered an era where electric vehicles play a key role. Globally, Volkswagen's electric vehicles will be very large. Because of our strong performance in the Chinese market."
How strong is it? It's not known yet; how big is it? (expected) very large.
Heizmann said Volkswagen plans to deliver about 400,000 new energy vehicles to Chinese customers by 2020 and 1.5 million by 2025.
According to the "Three-Year Action Plan to Win the Blue Sky Defense War" issued by the State Council in July 2018, the production and sales of new energy vehicles will reach about 2 million in 2020.
How to achieve this big goal?
First, invest money. According to Heizmann, in 2019, Volkswagen (China) will jointly invest more than 4 billion euros with partners to ensure the transformation of electric vehicles, connectivity, mobility services, research and development, efficient production processes and new product development.
Second, research and development. With the MEB platform, Volkswagen hopes to build affordable electric vehicles and give more people the opportunity to experience electric vehicles. Thomas Ulbrich, member of the board of directors of the Volkswagen brand and head of the electric mobility business of the Volkswagen brand, said that the MEB platform is a landmark technology project in the history of Volkswagen, comparable to the span between the Beetle and the Golf.
In addition, in order to strengthen the research and development of core technologies, Audi China will be responsible for the development of Volkswagen's high-voltage battery cells in China in the future.
Third, build a factory. On October 19, 2018, SAIC Volkswagen's new energy vehicle plant started construction in Anting, Shanghai, with a total investment of 17 billion yuan.
Fourth, build a website. From 2019, Volkswagen will build a public high-power fast-charging network with partners in China to achieve the goal of charging for 15 minutes and driving 400 kilometers.
As a giant and a rich man in the fuel car industry, Volkswagen turned to an electric car, the speed was a little slow, but the action seemed not small. How successful the transformation to electrification is, I am afraid that it is not technology but determination that plays a decisive role. When will the masses take their own lives? Maybe right now.
Magnetoelectric Proximity Switch
The magnetic proximity switch is a kind of proximity switch. The magnetic proximity switch is one of many types in the sensor family. It is made by the use of electromagnetic working principle and advanced technology. It is a position sensor. It can transform the non-electricity or electromagnetic quantity into the desired electric signal through the change of the positional relationship between the sensor and the object, so as to achieve the purpose of control or measurement.
