According to foreign media reports, Eaton (Eaton), the world's leading power management company, has announced the launch of the Metalux Cruze LED conversion kit.
According to Eaton, the Metalux Cruze LED Retrofit Kit has a simple installation capability that allows for rapid upgrades from fluorescent fixtures to LED technology without the need to install new fixtures. In addition, Eaton says the kit saves on installation manpower and saves more than 50% of energy compared to some fluorescent fixtures.
The Metalux Cruze Retrofit Kit uses the outer casing of existing fluorescent fixtures. The use of an existing housing saves the cost of purchasing an overall luminaire while also reducing the material handling costs of the retrofit project. The kit is reported to provide optimal light uniformity with 138 lm/w efficiency.
The retrofit kit is available in 2" x 2" and 2" x 4" sizes with four different lighting levels, two color temperatures and 85+ CRIs. Eaton designed a product with a battery life of up to 60,000 hours and a lumen maintenance rate of 75%.
There are also a variety of control options to choose from, including an optional integrated sensor system.
Thoughtful default settings can be used out of the box. Eaton says the system can increase lighting control without the need for debugging and eliminates the need for additional wiring, reducing time and complexity. An optional handheld remote can also be used for field adjustments to adjust one or more fixtures.
Eaton claims that the system has the lowest installation cost compared to traditional control products.
