Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock: Beijing time on August 18 morning news, Tesla's energy department is working with General Electric's Current, to install solar systems for 50 home Depot stores in the United States. Home Depot plans to shift more stores to clean energy, with the goal of generating 135 megawatts of clean energy by 2020.
Home Depot's six stores will also deploy Tesla's energy storage equipment. This will utilize Tesla's commercial Powerpack energy storage battery to store peak power generation for subsequent use. The installation of solar systems can reduce the demand for grids in these stores by at least 1/3.
Previously, Tesla's SolarCity has begun installing solar panels in commercial parking lots and rooftops. After the acquisition of SolarCity, Tesla's energy business is working, including the production of energy storage systems, to support renewable energy power generation projects around the world.
